Bauska Art and Craft Festival within the project 'Mid-Baltic Crafts'

Short description of the event
From 23rd to 24th of July in Bauska for the first time will be organised Bauska Art and Craft Festival. Festival is organised by Bauska Local Municipality Council in the framework of Latvia - Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 project No.LLI-023 "Mid-Baltic Crafts".

Additional information about the event
Festival will start on 23rd of July with conference "Craft centres in Latvia and Lithuania: experience and perspectives" in Bauska Culture House. During the conference there will be a possibility to attend photography exhibition “Mid-Baltic military craft in 16th-17th century” and photo studio “Bauska” exhibition in Bauska Culture House. On 24th of July in Bauska Castle courtyards will take place Craftsmen market and would be possible to see demonstrations of handicraft masters. During the market masterclass of salon “Meistars Gothards” will have workshop in the open air. Folklore groups will perform with songs, dances and games. All day long in Bauska will be open day in prospective Bauska Art and Craft Centre and in art salons and studios.
