Short description of the event
International Swimming Competition 'Green Frog' is the sports competition among the youth of secondary schools as one of the activities of the project Nr: LLIII-195 'Adaptability of renewable energy resources in Latgale region, Utena and Panevėžys counties/Renewable energy' implementation. The aim of the competition is to discover most creative, active and smartest team as well as the personal swimmer in the sports activity (swimming) among the school pupils aged 14-16, also to encourage young people to participate in different creative and sports activities as well as to promote and develop the idea 'green energy' on the level of Latvian and Lithuanian schools. Each Project Partner forms one team, consisting of 7 members, girls and boys. Pupils will be divided in three groups; they will swim by chosen free style. Diplomas and medals will be presented to the winners and the teams (first-prize, second-prize, third prize) as well as the Cup will be awarded to the team winner. All participants will get souvenirs. The swimming competition is organized in the pool of Anyksciai as this pool during the project time was equipped with the solar collector’s system which warms the water for pool’s basin. Event is organized by the Lead Partner - Anyksciai district municipality administration.
