Latvia–Lithuania Programme during past Saturday on 12 May has
participated in celebration of Europe Day in Vermana park (Riga) at
European Garden Festival. It was already fourth year when
Latvia-Lithuania Programme and projects where presented during the
event.
This year 2012 is pronounce the European Year for Active Ageing and
Solidarity between Generations by the European Union and main activities
within the festival where devoted to this topic.

In order to facilitate the compliance with European Union and Latvia-Lithuania Programme publicity requirements as well as to increase the communication skills of project implementers, the Joint Technical Secretariat of Latvia-Lithuania Programme organizes the Communication Conference "BE VISIBLE – tell about your project achievements!" which will be held on 16 May 2012 in the conference hall of Siauliai library, Siauliai. The new website of the EUSBSR was launched today by Colin Wolfe, Head of Unit of DG Regio, who gave the opening speech for the 3rd Working Meeting of the EUSBSR and officially launched the recently created website for the Strategy. The representatives of the Latvia-Lithuania Programme will take part in the third Working Meeting on the
implementation of the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region
(EUSBSR) which will take place on 21-22 March 2012 in Vilnius,
Lithuania as currently the governments of both countries together with responsible ministries are actively working in order to review the EUSBSR and define the future strategy regarding elaboration of future Territorial Cooperation Programmes.
