Summary Description of the Project:
It is only 15 km distance between partner cities. The project involves not only the children learning at partners’ schools but their parents, teachers and other members of cross-border communities as well. While implementing the project the attention is paid to disabled people living in cities of both partners, to whom a joint art plenere and art therapy festival are planned to be organized. These activities will contribute to the discrimination of people with disabilities and reduction of social exclusion in partners’ countries.

- All necessary measures for art and ceramic workshops and therapy were purchased.
- The brooches for ethnic clothes and five special costumes for opera "Grasshopper" have been produced.
- Seminars-practice for pedagogues were organized on in Naujoji Akmenė and in Auce music school. The theme of the seminars-practice were "Ziemgalian History is Our History" and "Sound and music therapy principles".
- Art Therapy Festival “Let Our Harts Grow” was organized in Naujoje Akmene. Children from Auce and Naujoji Akmenė music schools and disable children from Auce community and Akmenė community "Akmenės Viltis" worked and played within a joint art workshop, performance and concert. The aim of the event is to integrate disable children into local communities.
