Summary Description of the Project:
Energy production from renewable energy resources is by far not sufficient to cover the energy demand in Latvia and Lithuania, where mostly non-renewable energy resources are used. Project will explore the ways of using nature powers and make people’s lives more comfortable and healthier. Investments planned for five project partners correspond to the needs of exploration of new energy types for helping to evolve them faster. The installation of renewable energy resource systems will have a positive impact to the environment and will decrease the amount of emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere. Also, the costs of heating of these buildings will be reduced as well. It is foreseen that the project will make a positive influence to the owners of other buildings who would be encouraged to use the sources of alternative energy. During the project it is planned to install geothermal heating systems and sun collector systems for running water reheating in some public buildings as well as to construct the poster stands with solar panels and the LED lighting poles with solar panels and wind turbines. Other outputs of the project will be typical technical projects with geothermal heating system installation for different series of apartment houses, technical projects for some schools and public buildings with geothermal heating system installation. Also, the thermograph kit for detecting problematic areas in the buildings will be purchased. A new created web pages www.greenbuildings.lv ( www.zalienami.lv ) will provide information about all project activities. Mainly planned cooperation activities in the project are:
- International Quiz of RER knowledge for pupils (1/2 year will be supported as preparation for the members of Quiz, during the project) e.c.
- Video clip about project partners, how they start, how they build, how they are accomplishing the project, and after movie will be shown in mass media events, will be uploaded in website of „Euroregion lake side International contest for Project partner symbol contest, International swimming competitions for pupils, where all cross-border challenging districts and regions can see that in any time (photos of-course e.c.), experience exchange days for all of the partners.
- Study trip for sharing the knowledge from Switzerland.
- International seminars, in thematics of: 1) Renewable Energy adaptation, 2) about renewable energy for senior housing supporters for builders and designers, 3) RER seminar in Vilnius. International conference in Anykščiai.
- Releasing brochures and booklets.
In the project it is planned:
- Geothermal system installation in Anykščiai ,
- Sun collector system of 100m2 size panel+run flow water reheating in Swimming pool of Anyksciai.
- Geothermal heating system installation in the main school Antasava;
- Geothermal heating and hot water-treatment systems, solar panel installation in Kupiskis sport center.
- Construction of spatial objects - 12 posters stands with solar panels,
- Typical technical projects for 6 different series apartment houses,
- Technical projects for 4 public buildings.
- 16 LED lighting pole with solar panel and wind turbine,
- Technical project for Riebini secondary school, Liepu street 21, Riebini (geothermal heating system installation),
- Technical project for Riebini elementary school, Dārza street 2a, Riebini (geothermal heating system installation).
